NET TRANS Changes Effective April 1

Net Trans

Over the past several weeks, my office has received several calls about recent changes announced by NET TRANS regarding reduced service availability that goes into effect April 1, 2017. NET TRANS has announced that:

“We will no longer be able to provide General Public service in the urbanized areas of Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City. We look forward to continuing to serve your rural transportation needs.”

First Tennessee Human Resource Agency and NET TRANS are working diligently with TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) to come up with both short and long term solutions to help the displaced riders in Carter County and in the region affected by these funding changes.
