Campbell County Lands 150-Job Expansion

BMT Manufacturing, Inc. last week announced plans to significantly expand its operations in Campbell County. BMT, which makes short bed, utility and cargo trailers, is investing $3.7 million to expand its current operations in Jacksboro and establish a second facility in Jellico. BMT plans to create nearly 150 jobs between the two Campbell County facilities. More here on BMT’s expansion plans.

A.Y. McDonald Doubling Size of Elizabethton Operations

A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing Co. broke ground on an expansion in Elizabethton last week. The company is investing $8 million to double the size of its operations in Carter County. In the process, the maker of utility products plans to create 36 new jobs. A.Y. McDonald currently employs more than 140 people at its Elizabethton facility. Here’s more.

Dell Adding 225 Jobs to its Nashville Office

Tech giant Dell said last week it was in the midst of a hiring spree at its Nashville offices. Dell, which currently employs around 1,600 in Nashville, is adding 225 new jobs in Nashville. Details here.

“Remastered” Premieres Wednesday on RFD

TNECD’s new, original mini-series,”Remastered,” debuts this Wednesday, July 11 at 8 p.m. EDT, 7 p.m. CDT on RFD-TV. The series features the stories of six iconic Tennessee companies: Jack Daniel’s, Lodge Cast Iron, St. Blues Guitars, United Record Pressing, Barrett Firearms Manufacturing and Prophetik Haute Couture.
