EMA Deputy Director
The Elizabethton/Carter County Emergency Management
Agency is accepting applications for a full time Deputy
Director. This position will be responsible for assisting the
Director in responding to various types of emergency calls
relating to disasters or hazardous accidents. This position
requires two weeks a month of on cal l time and may require
the attending of City and County meetings. The EMA office
works with ail emergency responders and other agencies in
assisting with emergency planning and training. Excellent
computer skills is a must to include Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel. Experience accepted will be EMT with Hazmat or
Firefighter Level 1 or 2 with Hazmat. A bachelor’s degree in an
emergency related field will also be accepted. Excellent benefit
package that includes a daily take home vehicle for residents
that live in Carter County, medical, dental, and vision
insurance and an employee life insurance policy.
Starting salary is $35,280.00 a year.

Solid Waste Department
Class A CDL driver
The Carter County Solid Waste Department is currently accepting applications for a Class A CDL driver. Those interested can come by the Carter County Landfill located at 169 Landfill Road, Elizabethton, to pick up and turn in applications or resumes.
