Non-Emergency Calls:

If you have a non-emergency call, please call the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter during regular business hours between 10:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. If you get our answering machine, please leave a message for assistance and the calls will be returned the next business day. The messages are checked several times daily during operating hours. Please know that we have one Animal Control Officer that is covering the entire Carter County area. Please be patient as he responds to each call as they are prioritized. Please do not call 911 for non-emergency situations.
