About Us:
The Carter County Health Department is located at 403 E. G Street in Elizabethton. Regular office hours of operation for the Carter County Health Department are Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with extended clinic hours for primary care services. Extended hours appointments for WIC and certain Family Planning services are offered on the third Thursday of each month for those who must have later appointment times.
Our Services:
Services of the Carter County Health Department include: WIC (Women Infants and Children) supplemental nutrition program, EPSD&T “well child” screenings (Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnostic, & Treatment), vital records (birth and death certificates), dental health services, environmental health, acute primary care services, health promotion, immunizations, nutrition education, Family Planning, breast and cervical cancer screening program, pregnancy testing, prenatal education classes, CHANT (Community Health And Navigation in Tennessee) home visiting and case management services, Phenylketonuria (PKU)/newborn screenings, communicable disease services, HIV testing and counseling, and sexually transmitted disease program.
